How to create side views of a stack

I have a 4D stack (Z+time), and I would like to make a maximum intensity projection (MIP) along the x and y axis, to have side views of the stack.
You need to do a reslice to create a stack along the axis you want (Image>Stacks>Reslice). You can change the axis and the order by selecting Top, Left, Bottom or Right in the "Start at" field. On the resulting stack you can then apply the maximum intensity projection using Image>Stacks->Z Project.... Select "Max Intensity" as the projection type.
